Sixways Stadium welcome new tenants, Access Educational Provision

Sixways Stadium are delighted to announce that Access Educational Provision (AEP) have signed a multi-year deal to be tenants at the venue.

The home of Worcester Warriors Rugby Club will see AEP move into the stadium from June this year, operating on site from Mondays to Fridays.

AEP are a team of educators who provide bespoke, tailored educational solutions to young people within Worcestershire, with a focus on improving academic performance, behaviour, and fostering self-confidence and self-esteem. Their mission is to support vulnerable and at-risk young people to engage with education and vocational aspirations, by offering personalised one-to-one or small group education.

AEP’s move to Sixways Stadium provides them with the opportunity to continue their growth and to venture towards expansion into the independent specialist school sector, and working closely with the team at Sixways, AEP will be looking to develop links within the community that provide greater engagement opportunities for young people.

Rachael Ginger and Lisa Cashmore, Co-Founders of Access Education Provision, said: "Sixways brings a new dimension to AEP, offering inspiration, aspiration and ambition to our young people. To walk in the steps of sport stars who have achieved greatness, and inspired a community, is life changing for them."

Sixways Stadium is a culmination of our ambition to provide education for all children who are struggling to thrive within the mainstream environment. The site provides a premier location, is easily accessible and offers students a wealth of space, sporting facilities and there is the opportunity to introduce more specialist provision such as counselling and mentoring, a sensory room, and a full sporting programme tailored towards mental health and wellbeing. The increase of space also means a greater offering of vocational and academic pathways for students to develop.

Laura Napper, Director of Commercial at Sixways Stadium, said: “We’re looking forward to working together with AEP and providing a safe and innovative space for their learners to develop. It’s great to see the stadium utilised for the greater good. As well as a busy conference and events business, and sporting facility, we want to be able to support more impactful change within the community, and the passion that Rachael, Lisa and the rest of the team show in the work they do, is truly inspirational.”

Rugby has long been associated with supporting children who have been excluded from main stream education and it is the determination of the new management that we serve the community around Worcester.
Despite no professional rugby at Sixways since 2022, the stadium has been open and catering for businesses for meeting, conference and entertainment purposes, as well as hosting football matches for Worcester Raiders, Worcester City men’s and women’s teams, and the Junior Premier League Finals for The Football Association. Their ever- popular Christmas Party Programme has also been launched with a whole host of themed nights set for November and December.

Beth Reader, Director of Operations at Sixways Stadium, added: “It was clear from day one that Sixways is a perfect fit for AEP to fulfil their ambitious plans for growth, and we look forward to working collaboratively with Lisa and Rachael as they expand their provision and empower more children to overcome challenges and thrive.

The team at Sixways are laser-focused on the mission to rebuild a financially secure and sustainable business which is ready for the return of professional sport, including Worcester Warriors. The stadium is active and, in fact, thriving. Agreeing a multi-year lease with AEP is an exciting step forward in our journey and showcases our capabilities as a multi-purpose venue in being able to cater for a whole range of businesses and organisations.
